Alphabet Story

A boy named Josh Caldwell is a freshman and as most of you know, he is incredibly smart!

Being he is such a genius he decides to stand by me during practice.

The class we were in was Mrs. Garmon's.

Due to the few people we had, Mrs. Garmon decided to let us go to the anterior of the room to practice working a couple of problems out.

Eventually, I started getting a couple of right answers.

First, we practiced writing Roman Numerals.

Getting the point of what I was doing we moved on to using the trick with the number 25.

Honestly, the hard part about this was that it really has you thinking and you have to be quick!

In fact, I'm pretty sure everybody was have a hard time at first.

Just as I was about to write the answer, thinking I was going to be the first one, Josh happened to already have the correct answer!

Kinslie thought it was pretty funny how I was the only sophomore in there and yet, Josh was still beating me!

Luckily, she also had no clue what she was doing!

Mark, another freshman, is kind and he told me I was fast so it made me feel a little better.

Next, we worked on multiplying by 11's.

The objective of all this is to learn how to use mental tricks.

A pique feeling started getting to me when the rest of them were also getting the right answers.

Quickly, I rushed through the problem and happened to get it first!

Racheal, another girl, who is also very smart, tried to help me out a bit so I could understand what we were doing.

Stupefied of what I was doing, everybody started to do the same.

Technically, we all did a poor job.

Under my breath I kept muttering, "I hate this."

Verbally, I admitted to Josh he was doing a better job.

When practice was almost over I congratulated the rest of the freshman.

The x-cited students pranced of joy, unlike me.

Yes, I was a little frustrated about all this, but then again it's nothing to stress over! Haha.

The zany, callow kids ran out the door while I ambled my way out. :)

It's a Dog Life

Hey there! My name is Dixie. We just moved from Ohio and now we are in some state called Texas??!! So, I guess you can say I'm a little new here and don't know what's around or what there is to do for fun.

At my old house, I used to love wandering around while mom and dad were out working. I really had nothing to do. I was normally stuck at home sitting around being lazy, just the life of every ordinary dog, I guess. Ha! Well anyways, one day I was looking out the door and saw a bunch of kids running around and having fun, yet I'm still stuck at home. I wish I could go out there and see what's going on. So at least 2 or 3 days passed and I still hadn't got the chance to go out there. Until one day I noticed a little opening out back by the kitchen door and I went outside and followed the kids around. They ended up stopping somewhere. I wondered what in the world this place was! There were around 60-70 kids playing on some swings and slides! I guess this is what they call "the park." It looked like they were having fun. I wanted to go have fun to. So, I went in there and walked around a couple of minutes. I realized everybody was starring me down. I was like what?! Do I smell or oh my gosh! Do I have something on me?! No!! I noticed everybody started to run away from me. Sadly, I decided to leave because I figured nobody liked me. Great, I have no friends. I guess you can say I'm starting to miss my old house. I had more friends there than I do here.

UH-OH!!! My parents are home! What do I do? I wasn't supposed to leave the house and now how am I supposed to get back in?! JEEZ! What was I thinking? I guess I can try to sneak out through where I came out of! I went back there and heard somebody call my name, yeah it's my mom alright! I rushed in threw the door and just acted like nothing happened! She finally saw me and was saying something about where were you honey, just like every other mom, you can't do anything! Why do moms have to have us by their side all the time?!

So now it's time for supper! Yummy!! I get my same old puppy chow! I also get to have a few treats after my meal if I eat it all! I guess you can say that's not a problem, mom says I'm really good at finishing my meal. It's probably the best thing I'm good at!!!

Night came, and I was just so curious to find out why them kids were just looking at me. So I thought to myself, I'm going to follow them kids up there again and give it one more try on finding friends! So when morning arises, I go outside to meet the kids and followed them. When we got there everybody was at the entrance trying to stop me from going in. Later, I realized there were "no pets allowed." No wonder nobody would ever take me out to the park.

New Years

I stayed here in town for New Years. I didn't really do much other than sleep in!  My sister & nephew came down from Ft. Worth so I got to spend some time with them. My New Years resolution is to become top 10% of my class for this year. I'm not too sure if I will make it but it's worth trying!
